Create Amazing Projects in 4 Easy Steps
1.Preparation and Conditioning
- Clean your table, have water and tools ready. Knead clay to warm, remove air, and make it pliable.
2.Shaping and Sculpting
- Core techniques: pinch, coil, or slab build. To join pieces, score surfaces, apply water , and press firmly so they bond.
3.Smoothing and Refining
- Smooth: wet fingertip or sponge to erase fingerprints, cracks, or bumps. Texture: add fur, scales, or patterns with tools, stamps, or household items.
4.Drying and Finishing
- Air-dry clay: let dry 24–72 hrs in a cool, dry place (no fire). When hard, sand, paint with acrylics and seal with varnish or glaze.
Maximize Your Clay's Lifespan
- Reseal the package by pressing the ziplock. Keep it in a cool place.
- If the clay has dried out, wrap it in a wet cloth and place it in a container to stop the cloth drying out. The clay will become soft again overnight.
